I was having a tidy up of my facebook page yesterday afternoon, and realised I had saved the following from Diario de Avisos but never got around to posting it.
Basically what it is saying is that Las Vistas Beach, in Los Cristianos, one of the busiest pedestrianized areas in the South, will completely change its appearance and will become more modern and meet the needs of the thousands of people who walk it each day.
The City Council of Arona has given the green light to the drafting of the project, with more facilities and accessibility and a greater number of service. In addition to the replacement of the pavement, which will include widening from 6m to a minimum of 7m by using the area closest to the beach, knocking down the wall as well as stretches of garden where possible. It will include other new features such as the installation of wooden, steel and stone benches, that will be complemented by passive gymnastics equipment for sports. Along various stretches wooden steps and walkway will be installed. In both cases, with the possibility of being dismantled, as established by the regulations.
In the widest stretches, several pergolas will be placed next to the wooden and steel benches to provide shade.
The budget for the comprehensive improvement is €2,056,284.
