We seem to have turned the corner and are no longer waking up to cloudy mornings. Again today, it is a clear blue sky with the sun just breaking through and all the signs that it is going to be another scorcher.
Saturday was hot. Any breeze that might have been was motionless, the leaves on the trees were stationary, even the birds were silent, as they couldn’t raise the energy to tweet. By noon when the sun was right overhead there was no respite other than to sit indoors. It was almost 9.00pm before the girls got their last walk as it was only then that it was cool enough, it had been as high as 49°C.
Moving on to next week’s forecast. Here in the south it looks great with plenty of sunshine and just a couple of days with sporadic cloud. In the north the picture isn’t as good with the chance of showers from Wednesday onwards.
