Leroy Merlin gets green light to open  in Adeje.

The multinational Leroy Merlin will be able to open its 11,880 square meter facility in Las Torres commercial center in the municipality of Adeje. The court agreed yesterday in favour of granting the license which was directly against the judgment of November 2012 raised by the mercantile entity Tropicana SA, owner of the shopping center Las Torres, which opposed the opening. The court also grants a month for the Regional Council to comply with the ruling of the judgment.

South Airport to expand

Plans have been announced to expand the South Airport terminal by more than 50% before the end of 2020, increasing its capacity by two million passengers. MORE INFO HERE

Sadly too many Traffic accidents

A 33-year-old motorist has been injured after colliding with a tourist. The events occurred at 00.32 on calle La Hondura the health of affected person was declared moderate apart from hurting his leg and suffering from shock.

Firefighters released three people trapped in a crashed vehicle, which was part of a traffic accident involving three other cars on TF-1 motorway at around 12:30 p.m. yesterday in the municipality of Arafo. In total two men and two women were hurt, fortunately none serious although all were taken to either the Candelaria University Hospital, or Hospital San Juan de Dios.

Four injured, one of them serious, after a traffic accident On the TF-1 motorway, southbound, San Isidro area at 07:35 p.m. A man with severe head trauma, was transferred by ambulance to the University Hospital Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria. A 62-year-old man with complications was transferred to the Hospital Quirón Costa Adeje, and 2 men with minor injuries were taken to Hospiten Sur.

Between July and August, chicharreros are expected to be able to enjoy the specialties of the international coffee chain. However it will not be the only point of sale on the island, since there are plans to open in CC Siam Mall in Adeje, Puerto de la Cruz.

Foster’s Hollywood opens in Tenerife

Tenerife has a Foster’s Hollywood in La Orotava. The premises officially opened at the El Trompo Commercial Multicenter on Monday, June 5, marking the beginning of the presence of this restaurant chain.
