The morning is quiet it is slightly overcast but as it progresses the promise is to be similar to yesterday.
From first thing in the morning until last thing at night yesterday remained sunny and warm. Temperatures were mostly around 29°C but it felt hotter as there was no breeze to cool things down and not a cloud in the sky to offer any shade from the blazing sun. It is in these sort of conditions that the risk of fires is increased.
Next week’s forecast looks good, here in Adeje/Arona almost wall to wall sunshine and 0% chance of rain. The area is, however, on a warning for high seas so with the number of deaths from drowning this year already higher than last, do be careful.
In Puerto de la Cruz, there is a chance of showers today and these will continue tomorrow. The remainder of the week will see sunshine interspersed with cloudy intervals.
