Padel lovers have spent many years enjoying their sport in almost all the boroughs of Tenerife, without inhibitions or snobbery.  There are public courts but, especially, private facilities in many places (in hotels, sports centres, clubs and so on) which have permitted widespread practice of a sport which, in the past, had a more elitist connotation. Plus, monitors are now more common, while sports shops have begun to increasingly include all types of equipment for its practice.   Specialised clubs as well as some tournaments have also contributed to this expansion, boosted in turn, by social networks. Indeed, it is easy to find courts for rent and become a club member in both outdoor (the majority, but diminishing) and indoor facilities.
