Looking out of the window this morning it looks earlier than it actually is, because it is quite dark. That is down to a thick layer of grey cloud that is shrouding the hilltops. Also, a cold wind is creeping in through the open window yet when I checked the thermometer, it said 20°C but I think it feels a lot colder.
What a day yesterday turned out to be. It took until 11.00 for the sun to finally break through the cloud. Once that had happened the blue sky overtook the grey and temperatures began to rise until they reached 26°C. At 3.00 o’clock it clouded over once again and a wind crept in cooling down the day. While having the last walk of the day it started to rain, not proper rain just a bit of drizzle. Then at 9.30pm, the heavens opened and we had a downpour that lasted about 20 minutes. Not long, but enough to soak all the cushions on the garden furniture. However, the day hadn’t quite finished somewhere around 10.30-11.00 not sure as I was watching a film, we had a power cut. Looking out of the window it affected most of the village as all the way down to the Regency was in darkness, so the only thing left to do was go to bed.
