Since the early hours of Holy Thursday (13 April), several teams set to work on 18 floral montages. These are made up of  more than 10,000 flowers from Tenerife, Holland, Ecuador, or Denmark and will decorate the main streets of Guia de Isora until Easter Sunday.

Technical director and master florist, Carlos Curbelo said, “This floral show, started in 2009, has become one of the most important events of the year in the municipality”. For 4 days over Easter, corners, and squares of the historic centre will be decorate with large floral structures. These contemporary works of art represent the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

New this year visitors can enjoy music, dance, and poetry. On Friday the 14th, there will be two open-air performances around 12.00h and 15.30h.

Also taking place the IV Photographic Marathon Pascua Florida. Entry is free; it is open to amateurs or professionals. Registration on the day at the Department of Culture, Calle La Vera, between 9:00 – 10:30, 13:00 – 14:00 or 19:00 – 20:00. The winner will receive €300 and a diploma. The second prize is €200 and third will receive €100. All information can be found HERE.
