Saturday morning and the Spanish State Meteorological Agency have put us back on yellow alert. This time it is described as showers right across the island and we can expect up to 25 mm in any given hour. Nevertheless, here in our village at 8.00am, temperatures are a fresh 18°C; the sun is shining and looking down on Los Cristianos and Las Americas the sea is sparkling.
Although yesterday was bright and sunny and many were enjoying the beach at Las Vistas. I thought it felt cold. For the most part, where I live, temperatures stayed around 19°C and the wind became increasingly strong as the day wore on. In Puerto de la Cruz it also looked cold as people were all in big coats and I wasn’t totally surprise when I read that there had been overnight snow, and Teide had a dusting.
