The thermometer is showing me it is 20°C but my hands and feet are like ice. However almost 9.30 and the sun is just putting in an appearance so with luck and a second cup of coffee I too will warm up.
After a fairly bright and warm day when La Gomera was clearly visible on the horizon, come early evening, clouds came across the sky and a chill breeze swept through the village coming up from the coast.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) have once again put the islands, in our case, the north of Tenerife, on a yellow warning for adverse coastal phenomena, (strong waves to you and me) on Tuesday which will take effect from 6.00pm and will continue until midnight. So do be careful as there have already been too many incidents this year with people being caught out by the sea.
