The Adeje council have opened the first phase of the new social employment programme designed to address those in economic and/or social difficulties and aimed at helping groups that traditionally have problems accessing the labour market, leaving them in exclusion risk situations.
The programme, part of a two year social project, is a borough initiative in partnership with the Canarian employment service (SEC) and the Canarian federation of boroughs (FECAM), to develop programmes to encourage reinsertion into society. The main objectives are available online, www.adeje.es, where you will also find conditions for selection of candidates for the programme. The programme is open to those with special needs too.
The programme is run across a number of departments, social welfare, economic development and employment, and good government, under councillors Epifanio Díaz Hernández, Isabel Fernández González and Manuel Luis Méndez Martín. The plan will run for a year, divided into sub-projects with job experience included.
