It’s Sunday let’s shop in Santa Cruz!

As today is the first Sunday of the month and coincides with the sales, you will find many of the shops in Santa Cruz open. Also during the day, between 10:00 and 20:00, there will be activities for all. 

This is a good opportunity to get to know the small and medium companies, as the large commercial centres will be closed.

The program for today, between 10:30 and 20:00 hours, includes a new edition of the vintage Clavel Market, in calles Clavel and Nicolás Estévanez.

Activities for children will take place between 11:00 – 1:30, in la plaza de Weyler, la calle del Castillo and la plaza de la Candelaria with children’s characters, who will distribute balloons to the little ones. This will also take place in other areas El Pilar, Suárez Guerra, Pérez Galdós, Teobaldo Power, la plaza del Chicharro and Bethencourt Afonso, between 12:00 – 14:00, and between 17:00 – 19:00 through Castillo, El Pilar, Chicharro Square, Valentín Sanz, Bethencourt Alfonso and La Candelaria.

The program includes a free puppet show by the flower clock at Parque García Sanabria from 12:00 to 1:00, as well as the shows ‘OZ Mundo Mágico’ and ‘Uno más y la cuenta’ at el Círculo de Bellas Artes at 12:00 and 18:30, respectively. Those interested in these two shows can get their tickets at the theatre box office and www.tomaticket.es

This Sunday the exhibition ‘A Walk for India’ will also be held in the exhibition hall of Parque García Sanabria, between 10:00 and 3:00, and the exhibition ‘Ilusionismo, Magic, or Science? is in a marquee in la avenida Francisco La Roche and can be visited from 11:00 – 2:00 and from 5:00 – 9:00.

A guided ‘Historic Route’ at 12:00 is a 60 minute walk by the main historical landmarks of the city will depart from la plaza de España and costs €5 per person, €2 for residents, or for those who have used the tourist bus it is Free of charge.

Parking – TITSA will offer 4 hours free in the bus station car park. Weyler car park will offer throughout the day a fee of €2.95, Ramón y Cajal parking will have a flat rate of €5 and the Mencey parking will offer a price of €0.60 per hour.
