I was woken up in the night by the wind pummelling against the house. It sounded fierce. This morning it is only enough to blow the cobwebs away, but we are on a yellow warning to expect very strong winds that may gust at 80km/h. The sky is blue but there are lots of patches of cloud and no sunshine. Temperatures are 22°C.
The wind got stronger as yesterday progressed but the sun shone all day in a brilliantly blue sky, hardly a cloud to be seen, probably because the wind pushed them quickly away. Temperatures at mid-day were 25°C in the shade, and stayed that way for the whole day. Providing you found a sheltered spot it was a scorcher, otherwise you could have been whiplashed if you chose to be by the coast.
