It is a lovely sunny morning, temperatures are 21°C but it is quite blustery, nothing like the wind we have had but you can see it ruffling the leaves as it whips past.
We spent yesterday under a blanket of cloud. At the far edge, there was a brilliant white patch, like a turning page and catching the sun. The rest were dove grey with a subtle hint of purple, just enough to announce the coming rain. When it arrived, it fell softly, small pellets of water spitting on the ground and didn´t last long. It returned around 2.00pm and while heavier than the first lot, it only lasted a few minutes. Some say they experienced a downpour, what we had in Chayofa was more a 5-minute dribble. At 5.00pm the sun finally came out and slowly cleared the clouds. At 10.00pm, I was surprised to see the thermometer on my patio showing 19°C, it certainly didn’t feel like it!
