Weather 27th December 2016 – Los Cristianos/Las Americas

It is another morning, where you can hardly see Mount Guaza, let alone down to the coast. The calima that we saw yesterday as an unwelcome visitor is still with us. The air is loaded with dust from the Sahara and AEMET’s yellow warning is for more of the same for another few days before the air will finally clear.


Eventually the sun fought its way through yesterday’s thick murk and temperatures rose to 25°C but there was also a strong wind. According to one news article, the air reach 17 times higher than the recommended health safety limits.
