Weather 26th December 2016 – Los Cristianos/Las Americas

Any holidaymaker coming to the island for our winter sun will think they have landed in the wrong place.  Over the past few days we have had very little sun, but plenty of wind, rain, snow and today thick fog.  Of course, we know it isn’t actually fog but a Calima which is particles of sand blown in from the Sahara, but to the uninitiated, it looks like a pea-souper.  It is little consolation that temperatures are 21°C when there is no sun, hopefully over the course of the day this will change.
