This week Tenerife firefighters made three rescues in the mountains

On Monday afternoon on three separate occasions, Tenerife firefighters had to intervene to rescue several people in distress in the ravines of Masca and Carrizales and on a path at Garachico, respectively.

In the barranco de Los Carrizales, the firefighters of San Miguel de Abona and volunteers from Santiago del Teide intervene when it was necessary to locate three people who had become disoriented, they help them leave the area, and provided them with shelter and food.

Garachico, around 17:30, firefighters and volunteers intervened at Icod de los Vinos and Ycoden-Daute to rescue a person injured by falling rocks. For this reason, once located he was moved to San Juan del Reparo to an area where the helicopter could operate for air evacuation.

Finally, about the same time, in the ravine of Masca, from San Miguel and Santiago del Teide volunteers intervened to evacuate a person with a fracture bone that could not continue on their own. After immobilizing the affected area, he was transferred to the dock in Los Gigantes and from there transferred to SUC.
