Weather 19th October 2016 – Los Cristianos/Las Americas

Boring I know but there is little to say except it is another beautiful day, with a clear blue sky and the sun just starting to cast long shadows on Mount Guaza. Temperatures are currently 21°C.

In the sultry heat of yesterday afternoon, a butterfly beat its wings so sharply it looked as if it was being worked by a tiny electrical current. The sea shone like a molten mirror, and there was no cooling breeze or cloud to block the sun. I thought this was supposed to be October!

greece-2The new webcam overlooking Paseo San Telmo in Puerto de la Cruz has finally come into operation.  I have been waiting and checking for several weeks, but the wait is finally over. However, what’s all that about on TripAdvisor?  One minute the folks  are saying ignore the weather forecasts and watch the webcam, but if the image doesn’t suit they say you can’t trust webcams. For goodness sake, it’s a live camera!  Anyway, the LINK IS HERE  for those who want – Enjoy

The following images are from Costa Adeje in the south of the island and Puerto de la Cruz in the north of the island and are taken from the webcam yesterday at 12.00, 3.00 and 5.00. These times are approximate and are at whatever is the nearest before or after the hour.

Las Americas, South Tenerife

Puerto de la Cruz, North Tenerife
