During more than two weeks, the film crew of Oro, directed by Agustín Díaz Yanes, converted the Anaga massif into a film set where the ambitious Spanish conquerors were led in pursuit of the mythical city of El Dorado in the 16th century. With a popular and award-winning cast, including José Coronado, Bárbara Lennie, Raúl Arévalo, Óscar Jaenada and Juan Diego, last month the country footpaths, mountainous zones and varied vegetation of the Anaga Rural Park were the perfect set for shooting a good part of the film, which will continue in other areas such as Andalusia, Madrid or Panama. Oro is an Apache Films, Atresmedia Cine, Tezutlán Films and Sony Pictures España co-production with a budget of 8 million euros, scheduled to be released in Spain at the end of the year.
