Tenerife beach is the work of César Manrique
In the tourist resort of Puerto de la Cruz, in the north of the island of Tenerife, Playa Jardin is one of the most famous in the area. Designed in the Nineties by renowned Canarian artist Cesar Manrique, it is a beach created to ensure the rest of the visitor. Only access to the beach through the gardens of native plants, along paths between stone walls and waterfalls, it is all an initiatory journey to a day relaxing on a beach with all amenities and magnificent views of the Teide volcano
Three urban black sand beaches in Puerto de la Cruz
Playa Jardin is an urban black sand beach divided into three sections: Playa del Castillo, Playa del Charcón Beach and Punta Brava. It has a lateral wave breakwater to protect it, but retains open areas to allow surfing. Its promenade connects the beach with gardens, children’s areas, terraces and cafes and the bandstand where musical performances are held.It also has rental services hammocks and parasols, showers, changing rooms and access for the disabled.
