I woke before dawn the air was delicate and cool but it didn’t last long. I fell back to sleep just as the sun peeked over the mountains the sky turned from grey to a soft blue and the clouds blushed like a ripe mango. Now fully awake the mist is visible, but only on the horizon, it is silvery not dirty brown and the cool air has warmed to 24º. While we may have the talked about calima, at least at the moment it is light.
Yesterday continued to heat up with temperatures in the shade at 32°C . It started off hazy, by early afternoon there was a heavy grey sky but by 5.00pm when at its hottest the sky cleared and the sun came out. It was late before it was cool enough to take a walk.
The forecast for next week, both north and south is for the early part of the week to see high temperatures and a few scattered clouds while from Wednesday temperatures drop to something slightly more comfortable. No sign of the showers and possible thunder predicted although that could be in higher regions.
