The sun is trying hard to break through this morning but so far without much success. Temperatures at 8.15am are currently 23°C and once again there is a hot weather alert for the east, south and west of the island with temperatures predicted to rise to 34°C.
Yesterday morning it was hot, 29°C in Chayofa. We went up to Arona village where it felt cooler and finally into Los Cristianos where it felt hotter. It was therefore a surprise to see on the 12.00 o’clock webcam shot of Puerto that temperatures were under 22°C. However, just when we thought to take a trip north the temperature crept up and by 5.00pm, it was 27.4°C on the Puerto webcam and on my patio 31°C. A hot day everywhere!
The following images are from Costa Adeje in the south of the island and Puerto de la Cruz in the north of the island and are taken from the webcam yesterday at 12.00, 3.00 and 5.00. These times are approximate and are at whatever is the nearest before or after the hour.

Puerto de la Cruz, North Tenerife
