There are so many pubs and clubs in Tenerife, so to save you wasting time and money going to a bar or nightclub that is not what you were looking for we have created a list of some of the best on the island.
Monkey Beach Club
Monkey Beach Club firstly has a great restaurant that offers diners stunning views of neighbouring island La Gomera and is a popular spot to grab lunch or dinner. The Monkey Beach Club, however, is especially renowned for its beach parties, which are regarded as the best on the island. In the summer Monkey Beach Club hosts its famous beach party every Sunday from 5pm until midnight, and party goers can listen to sets from famous DJs and internationally acclaimed musicians. The club is also famed for its cocktails, which range from Daiquiri Fresa, Mai Tai and Frozen Mojitos to specially created Monkey on the Beach and Ride the Monkey cocktails.
Playa de las Americas nightlife is not just the best in Tenerife, but is regarded as one of the best in Europe as it is home to a range of top quality pubs and clubs.
One of these clubs is Tramps Tenerife, or the King of Clubs as it is known by many. Tramps is seen as one of the best house clubs on the Canary Islands and has been voted the best club outside of Ibiza by Radio One in 2007 and 2008. The club has an electric atmosphere and clubbers can listen to beats from the best resident house DJs, dance on a huge dance floor, chill in the VIP area, drink at the four different bars or recover in the seating area. If you want lots of fun in the sun, then Tramps Tenerife is the place to be and over the course of the summer the club welcomes big name DJs and celebrities on Wednesday nights. Doors for the club open from 10pm-6am.
Linekers Tenerife opened way back in 1988 and today it is still one of the most popular pubs and clubs on the island. Lineker’s Tenerife is owned by Wayne Lineker, brother to former Tottenham Hotspurs, FC Barcelona and England footballer Gary Lineker, and offers visitors to Playa de las Americas a vibrant atmosphere to dance the night away in. Linekers Bar is now world famous with venues across Europe, but visiting the club where it all began is a must.
Veronicas Tenerife, the most well-known strip in Tenerife, is home to O’Neill’s Tenerife.
O’Neill’s in Veronicas is one of the liveliest bars on the island and thousands of clubbers from across the globe descend on O’Neills to listen to the latest beats being played by well-known DJs. Gyrating dancers show off their skills in ‘the cage’, but if you want to strut your stuff then the air-conditioned dance floor is calling your name. The bar is busy any day of the week, but is usually at its busiest over the weekends.
Treehouse Bar & Grill
Another great bar is the Treehouse Bar & Grill and if you are looking for somewhere to eat during your break to Tenerife then this is the place to come. This country pub is based in the south of Tenerife in Chayofa and is a popular choice for families and couples alike.
As well as tasting a range of different drinks you can combine this with a meal as the Treehouse Bar & Grill serve a range of fish meals, nachos, ribs and more.
Papagayo Beach Club
Papagayo Beach Club might be one of the best restaurants in Tenerife during the day, but at night it turns into a top music venue. The club is known for playing the best in electronic and dance music and is beautifully based on the corner of La Troya beach. It is also just a short distance away from Playa de las Americas’ Veronicas strip. The club is renowned for its DJ sets – to see what the club has in store for visitors then check out the events page here.
Taboo’s Nightclub is highly recommended by My Destination as both holidaymakers and locals visit this club to drink and dance. The music is varied from disco and house to funk and the crowd consists of young people and those that are young at heart. Like most clubs and pubs in Tenerife the drinks are cheap and if you fancy combining a night out with a visit to the beautiful Golf del Sur, then this is the club to visit.
