Traveling between islands

Whether you live or are on holiday in Tenerife and you want to know the rest of the Canary Islands (La Gomera, El Hierro, La Palma, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote andFuerteventura ) should know that there are two types of connections between the islands, the plane and boat.

All Canary Islands have airports, Tenerife South (TFS), Tenerife Norte (TFN), Gran Canaria (LPA), El Hierro (VDE), Fuerteventura (FUE), La Gomera (QGZ), La Palma (SPC) and Lanzarote (ACE); and ports in Gran Canaria (Agaete and Las Palmas), Tenerife (Los Cristianos and Santa Cruz de Tenerife), La Gomera (San Sebastián de La Gomera), Fuerteventura (Corralejo), Lanzarote (Arrecife and Playa Blanca), Fuerteventura (Puerto del Rosario and Morro Jable) and El Hierro (Puerto de La Estaca -Valverde), which operate different airlines and shipping companies covering a variety of routes.

Air travel is the most expensive way but we will add more speed on the way. Currently there are two companies based in the Canary Islands to operate flights between these:

One is Binter , operates in all Canary Island airports as well as international destinations such as Agadir, Banjul, Cape Verde (Praia), Cape Verde (Sal), Casablanca, Dakar, El Aaiun, Lisbon, Madeira (Funchal), Marrakech, Nouakchott and Punta Delgada.

The second is the airline Canaryfly , who operate in all the islands that make up the province of Las Palmas, in addition to Tenerife and La Palma. And international destinations like Dakhla and El Aaiun. A company clearly Canaria, who despite his youth, has extensive experience in air transport with a passenger service very close, friendly and efficient.

Traveling by boat is the most affordable, and most fun, especially when traveling with children , and that on certain routes is easy to spot dolphins and other cetaceans. In addition you can transport vehicles, although it is always advisable to hire in your chosen destination. The price and duration of the trip depends on the island on the island are and want to visit, and also depends on the boat you choose, as there are several types, each other faster than enough. Shipping companies there are FredOlsen, Trasmediterranea and Naviera Armas.

There is also the possibility of traveling on cruises Canary Islands , or through organized excursions sailboats, yachts, catamarans, … they leave and return in one day without the need for night, and they offer the chance to enjoy a day relaxing, whale and dolphin watching, pirate ships for children, meet new corners of the coast of the islands and islets of La Graciosa or Isla de Lobos, … These boat trips are perfect for families and young lovers of the sea and nature.

Either option is good because for sky or sea, the archipelago connects frequently and thus travel between the Canary Islands , is a fun, fast and comfortable experience
