That’s the baking done while it is relatively cool and I am now sitting in the garden, which is still cool as the sun has not got round to this side of the house yet. Feet up, sipping freshly squeezed juice in shade temperatures of 25°C. The yellow alert for hot weather has been extended until tomorrow and the thermometer is expected to rise to 34°C before slowly starting to cool down. Although there is a haze it does look as if the calima is well on its way to leaving so although hot at least we should be able to breathe a little easier.
Once more all there is to say about yesterday is it was HOT! some parts of the island reached 35°C in the shade, while on my patio in the afternoon albeit in full sun it was 46°C and even at 8.00pm it was still showing 40°C
