Santa Cruz Castle Route

The activity consists of a guided tour of the castles of Santa Cruz while also taking advantage of seeing attractive buildings declared as BIC (Cultural Property) and protected by the Law of Historical Heritage of the Canary Islands.

The meeting point is on the steps of the auditorium facing the sea, then moving on foot to the nearby castle of San Juan and the Powder House. The tour then continues, transportation included, to the entrance and the ruins of the main castle at the Bay of Santa Cruz, San Cristobal. Moving towards the tower of San Andrés, Paso Alto Castle becomes the next stop on the tour of the defensive system of the city.

In short, a unique opportunity to enjoy these properties that usually remain closed to the public.

Those interested in the route must purchase tickets in advance at the reception of the Museum of History and Anthropology of Tenerife (Casa Lercaro) and the Museum of Nature and Man located on Calle San Agustin de La Laguna. They can also pay by bank transfer.
