Ornella Chacon, the Canarian Minister for Public Works and Transport, met with the business industry of Adeje recently during a visit to South Tenerife. The main purpose of the visit was to see the work along the Erques viaduct which links the boroughs of Adeje and Guía de Isora.
Also in attendance at the meeting with the business sector were Rosa Gonzalez Cabrera, Shrines Moreira Garcia and Jose Maria Alvarez Acosta and the regional director of infrastructures Jose Luis Delgado.
Areas of common interest and relevance to residents here in the south of the island were the stretch of the ring-road which is scheduled to be open next month following the end of the tests on Erques viaduct. Improving traffic fluidity between the south, tourist zones and the island capital, which the business sector stressed as vitally important for tourism and business in commercial and residential zones.
Street lighting along the TF-1 was also discussed and in general the minister reiterated the government’s commitment to improving connections between the different parts of the islands.
