AFTER a three-year wait, the magic of Disney returns to Tenerife to give the kids a pre-Christmas treat. The popular Disney Live! Show will be in Santa Cruz next month for five performances as part of a massive Spanish tour.
Mickey Mouse and the gang will perform between 5th-8th November, and tickets are on sale now at all the usual sale points.
Disney Live was last in Tenerife in 2012, when the show played to full houses in La Laguna. The show was also a sell out in 2010 in the North of the Island, and promoters are delighted to be back. This tour kicks off in Gran Canaria on 28th October before crossing the water to Santa Cruz. Then the show goes to Seville, Madrid and finally, Valencia.
It features all the popular Disney characters, with songs by the likes of Beyonce, Cyndi Lauper and Baha Men.
This version of Disney Live! is called Mickey’s Music Festival, which is described by producers Feld Entertainment as “fun for all the family”.
Mickey’s Music Festival is a tuneful journey through different styles like Hip Hop, Pop, Swing, Reggae, Rock and Country. The show is fully inter-active and the public will enjoy and sing along to versions of songs from The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Toy Story.
Mickey Mouse is joined by girlfriend Minnie, close pals Donald Duck and Goofy as well as Ariel, Sebastian, Ursula, Jasmine, Aladdin and the Genie. The Toy Story squad of Woody, Buzz and Jessi will also drop in as part of 25 stars from Disney’s best and most-loved stories of all time.
The show begins with the star, Mickey Mouse, who is transported to a new world of Hip Hop movements, featuring dizzying acrobatics, flying carpets and magical transformations, with Aladdin, Jasmine and the Genie. Then the action moves underwater, where the public will meet Ariel, Sebastian and his aquatic friends to dance to the rhythm of Reggae, before the Toy Story section. There Woody, Buzz and Jessi will teach dance rodeo style! As for the rest of show … well you will just have to go to find out!
